SUB ACCOUNT NUMBER: This is generally "001" for members with single meters who have never had a previous account with Bowie-Cass. If you have multiple meters then the "SUB ACCOUNT NO" will indicate which meter is being billed.
RATE: This is the formula by which your bill is calculated. Bowie-Cass currently has two residential rate structures, Winter and Summer. Read about our rate structure.
METER NO: Simply the serial number on your meter. You may use this number for reporting outages, or inquiries concerning your account.
PREVIOUS READING: The reading from your meter for the previous billing period.
PRESENT READING: The reading from your meter for the current billing period.
MULTIPLIER: This is the gear ratio for which your meter is set up. It will typically be 0 or 1.
KWH USED: The amount of killowatt hours used for this billing period. The previous reading is subtracted from the present reading to in order to obtain the number of killowatt hours used.
KWH CHARGE: The dollar amount of of your current bill based on killowatt hours (kWh) used for the current billing period.
SVC CHG CODE: The "Service Charge Code" is an indicator for extra services you may receive from Bowie-Cass.
SVC CHARGE: The charges in dollars for extra services.
SECURUTY LIGHT: The monthly charge in dollars for members who have a security light as part of their service.
SALES TAX: The required tax charged on your services.
AMOUNT: Your total bill including all charges.
